What is Ethereum
Ethereum is a decentralized platform that runs smart contracts: applications that run exactly as programmed without any possibility of downtime, censorship, fraud or third-party interference.
These apps run on a custom built blockchain, an enormously powerful shared global infrastructure that can move value around and represent the ownership of property.
This enables developers to create markets, store registries of debts or promises, move funds in accordance with instructions given long in the past (like a will or a futures contract) and many other things that have not been invented yet, all without a middleman or counterparty risk.

Step 1 – Register at COSS
To buy the token, you first need to sign up at COSS.
First go to exchange.coss.io.
Go ahead and Register at COSS by adding your personal details.
To sign up for COSS you’ll need a valid email address and create a secure password.
Create a strong Password, click the check boxes for the COSS terms and conditions and the anti-spam captcha.
Click “Register Account”.
Step 2 – Activate Your COSS Account.
You’ll be asked to activate your account before you can log in on COSS.
Go to the email you entered and click on the link sent by COSS to complete the registration process.
Step 3 – Log On to Your New COSS Account
Go back to Coss.io and use your new account details to log in.
Step 4 – Fund your COSS Wallet.
Before you can buy your new tokens, you need to have funds in your COSS wallet.
Note that you can’t send fiat currency direct to COSS. Instead you need to send your favorite crypto (we recommend ETH or LTC due to low transaction costs and fast transfer times).
The easiest way is to buy crypto at Coinbase.com then send it to COSS.
How to Buy Bitcoin at Coinbase
Back at Coss, click the “Funds” link on the top menu bar, then the “Deposits” link on the sub-menu that pops up.
You now need to find the deposit address for the specific type of crypto you are transferring over from Coinbase.
In this example we’re using ETH.
Find and click on the ETH button.
Now, copy the ETH Deposit Address and use that as the destination/outward address at your Coinbase account.
Wait a few minutes and the crypto (ETH in this case) will be credited to your Coss account.
Step 5: Trade your Ether for ETH tokens.
Click on the ‘Exchange’ link at the top menu, near the Coss logo.
Search for the ETH/ETH pair among the list displayed on the page. Do this by selecting the “ETH” tab and clicking on the coin pair you would like to buy.
Under the ETH/ETH chart, you’ll find the Buy ETH section.
The first box with the Amount label is where you enter the number of ETH tokens you plan to buy.
The first box with the Price label displays how much ETH or fraction of ETH you pay to buy each ETH token.
The Total box shows how much Ether in total you are paying for the transaction. This includes any transaction fees by Coss.
Ready to buy?
Go ahead and Click on the “BUY COIN” button.
